Lewis and Clark Expedition – stopped south of Brownville.

1854
Founding of Brownville by Richard Brown.

1860
Brown/Carson House Construction – donated to the Brownville Historical Society by Rose Carson in 1966.

1863
January 1, 1863 - Daniel Freeman files first homestead in Brownville at the Land Office.

1875
Railroad Depot Construction; the depot was purchased by BHS in 1959.

1961
September 24, 1961 - Dedication of Boettner Park given to BHS by George W. Boettner; the Civil War cannon was also given to BHS by George W. Boettner at this time.

1998
June 28, 1998 - Dr. Spurgin’s Office donated to BHS by Jane and Randel Smith.

2015
February 2015 - Melva Sage of Brownville deeded the Wheel Museum and the BHS Office to the Brownville Historical Society.

2015
October 10, 2015 - Land Office was re-opened

2016
April 23, 2016 - Opening of the Sage Museum and the Brownville Historical Society Office.
